The longer you keep training, the more your log becomes a history of your body: weights, reps, body weight, what you ate. So when you choose a workout app, it is fair to ask where that history goes.
This article explains, as concretely as we can, how fit-ai handles your records. The binding terms are in our Privacy Policy; think of this as a reader's guide to it.
What gets recorded
fit-ai only keeps what you log.
- Training: exercises, sets, reps, weight, and running distance and time
- Your body: height, weight, and body composition (you decide whether to log them)
- Meals: what you ate and its approximate nutrition
- Goals: targets you set, such as how many days a week you want to move
Where it lives
Your records are saved on your phone first, so you can log even where the gym has no signal. They sync automatically when you are back online.
They sync to cloud servers in Japan (the Tokyo region). Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and encrypted at rest.
If you connect Apple Health or Health Connect
Connecting to Apple Health / Health Connect is optional and off by default.
- When it is on, fit-ai reads your weight, height, and body fat percentage, and writes what you log in fit-ai along with your strength and running workouts
- When you work out with Apple Watch, the average and maximum heart rate are saved with your training record
- We never use data from Apple Health or Health Connect for advertising, usage analytics, or marketing
What leaves your phone — only when you use the AI coach
When you ask the AI coach something, part of your record (training, body, meals, goals, and profile details such as gender and age) is sent to Google's AI (in the United States) to write the reply. Your heart rate is not sent.
- It is sent only after you agree in the app
- It is used only to write that reply, and not to train the AI
- You can turn it off anytime under Settings → AI Coaching. After that, nothing is sent
If you do not use the AI coach, your records are never sent to an AI.
About ads
The free plan shows ads, and to do that it shares an advertising identifier with Google. You can turn this off on iPhone under Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and on Android under Settings > Google > Ads. Premium shows no ads.
We never sell your personal information.
How to delete it
- You can delete any single entry in the app at any time
- If you delete your account, you are signed out right away and the data on your phone is erased. Your records, body data, meals, goals, and AI conversations are deleted from our servers as well
- All that remains afterwards is anonymous aggregate numbers (such as monthly account deletions) that cannot identify you
Questions?
If you ever wonder what a record is used for, ask us through the contact page. The person who builds the app will answer.
Your log is proof of the work you have put in. If we ever change how we handle it, we will update the Privacy Policy and let you know.
